Owner and founder, Will Adkins, had always wanted to own his own clothing company. In June 2014, while working as a Firefighter and on his days off working for the family business he decided it was time to start his company; a company he felt needed true southern roots. Having always loved the coast, Will decided his clothing should be made with an original design, great quality, and built for eve

ryday wear with a coastal feel. A company where only the finest materials are used and no detail overlooked. He wanted the product to last and be extremely comfortable to wear. A company that he could be proud of and clothing others would be proud to wear. Will began working on designs and testing fabrics, as he was thinking of different names to call his company. There was only one name that came to mind, Southern Cypress. As a boy, Will and his father planted a cypress tree beside their home. He watched that tree grow taller and taller, eventually growing taller than their home. He thought to himself “if a tree can grow that big and strong so can my company", a company with “Roots in the South” so just like the cypress tree - Southern Cypress was born.
