How I make my vintage inspired, wall decor only, life jackets. Did I say these are purely for decoration?

This 1960’s canvas # brings me right back to my Grammie & Grampa’s pop up camper on their annual campsite and my Nana & Gramp’s camp on Tacoma Lake. Childhood was most definitely the sweetest of times.

I’ve sourced a few different vintage canvas fabrics, the life jackets made from them will be available in a limited quantity. Link in bio.

So many different ways to configure a wall of vintage inspired life jackets. Which way is your favorite? These are strictly wall decor perfect for a beach cottage/house, boathouse, lake homes, nautical nursery decor, etc.

When I saw the Emily Lex boat coats image and watercolor print I just couldn’t forget about it. One morning while sipping coffee in our little lakeside cabin I asked Aaron if we had any up in the rafters. He said we didn’t but thought I could make some myself. It took me a few months and many tiny replicas to get them just right but I’m pretty happy I listened to him. Today I added a bunch of new colors/prints to the shop since the red, green and yellow originals were selling so well. Dreaming of those sun filled lakeside mornings as another blizzard blows in.

New in my shop. Some items are handmade start to finish and some are manufactured at the start then finished with a bit of handmade love. This one falls into the latter category. Orgnic cotton gown finished with felt name and hand-embroidered with love. Perfect hospital coming home outfit.

Hand embroidered chain stitch. Can be done with yarn instead of embroidery thread as seen here.
