Warm and delicious, this bespoke 18K yellow gold band is a classic to be treasure for years to come. The center diamond and the sapphires were rescued from a dated bracelet that was languishing in a box in a dark drawer (quiet sobs could sometimes be heard if the night was quiet, and you were listening intently😢). Now these beautiful gems have a new home, custom made just for them, and two new friends (the diamonds on either end are new additions). All the gems are happy now, and the happy recipient of the ring is ecstatic! My job here is done. This was a collab job with , Cliff is a gem himself.

When is a star not in the sky? When it is on your finger of course!

“Inclusions” or “flaws” as they are called are not always a negative in a gemstone. Sometimes, in sapphires, a bunch of tiny rutile needles arrange themselves just so in the crystal. Then a lapidary (stone cutter) looks at that stone and sees the possibility of something magical. Instead of cutting the stone with facets, it is cut in a cabochon shape (let’s call it a half sphere, a dome). When those rutile needles are oriented properly by that lapidary (those folks are artists in their own right) the light reflects off the needles and the star appears on the top of the gem! This phenomenon is called asterism. Cool hunh⁉️😃

Over 18 carats of luscious violet blue tanzanite highlighted by two Tsavorite garnets, set in Argentium silver and accented with solid 18K yellow gold. This beautiful girl is on her way to her forever home today. She is truly One of a Kind, she is the only one like this that I have ever made. She personifies Spring in her beautiful, vivid colors and her happy sparkle. She bids us all a happy farewell as she begins her journey to her new home where she will be admired and adored.

I’m crazy about these swirls, did ya know? This piece has been an evolution, and been put to the side waiting her turn for months. Today I finally had some time to put the finishing touches on her (meaning the bale on the back) and polish her up all pretty. Beautiful hunh!?! She’s new but she has a hint of old world about her... an instant heirloom.

Did you know I use recycled gold in all my pieces? 🤔The diamonds in this piece are also “recycled”. All “G-H” color and VS2-SI1 but all rescued from old pieces and given new life in this one! The center is set with a gorgeous rose cut sapphire.

Will she be a treat for yourself? Someone you know? Maybe she will be someone’s “something new” or “something blue”... Find her on the website tomorrow. In the meantime share her with friends and loved ones. She wants to be someone’s treasure to be worn and enjoyed, rescue her ASAP.
