Isn’t this the sweetest little quilt? Beautifully pieced in pastel blue and green floral print, backed in pale blue cuddle, quilted in 30’s florals.

The Roseville Quilt Guild's 2026 quilt show, hosted at William Jessup, featured a beautiful setting and an impressive array of quilts, along with talented vendors, such as Cali Quilt with bouquets were a lovely addition. Conversations with Joe and several other vendors was enjoyed by my friends.

I appreciated the warm welcome from DG Sewing and Vacuum, formerly based in Elk Grove.

Today I received a quilt you may remember me sharing. I had no idea my dear, sweet friend intended this for my heart. This was the first quilt i laid my hands on to longarm after my husband passed away. Adding additional sugnificant friends in addition to those already tagged: Diane, Elisha, Kendy

I wrote this poem to memorialize a gifted quilt.
Pieced by Lola Colegrove
Longarmed by Lady Di Quilts (Diane):

Today I received a patchwork of teal, knowing my favorite colors would heal. A quilter’s hands, intent to mend, a heart once broken, held by a friend.

Pieced in love, stitched in prayer, soft with memories laid bare. She spoke her name with every thread, of the one she lost, the tears she shed.

Through grief and faith their hands reveal a bond no silence dares conceal, for in each stitch, their lives entwine, two hearts made whole through shared design.

As I push forward on multiple client projects, my very own Hunter Star quilt is currently on my design wall. A project that began two years ago, completing 42 blocks in this final layout, and has seen significant progress. Yes, I see the extra rusty blocks, not aligned in a perfect diagonal, that was a design (ran out of fabric stash) choice 😜

This fall-themed fabric stash quilt has renewed focus this week! Updates will follow in the comments until this quilt's completion and final presentation.

Your support has been instrumental in propelling this project forward.

White, pale pink or teal, those were the thread choices and this customer quilt was the assignment. I only had one job, to quilt something pretty, edge to edge (E2E).

My customer decided on the pale pink thread on top, with a light lavender in the bobbin for the cuddle backing. Awwww “Faster Poises” never fails as an E2E pattern:

Quilt Rush 2026 is a wrap. This motley crew of quilters had sew much fun, sew many laughs. Our travels took us to Vacaville, Sacramento, Lincoln, Roseville, Citrus Heights, ending in Placerville on Thursday. On Friday we met in Auburn then headed out to Grass Valley, Oroville, Chico, Willows, ending in Collusa as we enjoyed a Crispy Chicken Sandwich at Jeff’s Freezette:

Remember my Super Bloom Red-Poppy quilt I posted on April 1st? Well I decided to expand that pretty little 50” quilt with a 5” borders from the extra backing yardage.

Using my Gammill as a sewing machine, all 4-sides now having these darling cross-hatch fabric. Stitching with rulers I’ll crosshatch between a set of 1/4” and 1/2” echo lines for a 60”x60” throw sized quilt.

Had to stop the stitching due to severe T-storms so I grabbed a couple sourdough chocolate chip cookies and decaf Earl gray tea to watch season one, Women of the Bible.

Have a blessed evening.

EDIT: I added a couple more pics of the piped binding and quilt label!

Working on another customer quilt. There is a good reason for the backing material to be an extra 8” larger than the height and width of the top…shrinkage. This quilt was only 4” larger. The quilting shrinks the fabrics and I ran short on the backing by 2”.

Fortunately I found the backing fabric on Etsy and it should arrive this week. I’ll sew it while on the longarm.

Pretty swirls for this quilt -from concept to stitchout:
