Whew--printed, cut, stitched, ironed, etc. a small batch of typewriter themed scarves. Trying to pretend it is a rainy day as I hide out from the heat!

This cotton, pieced scarf features both purchased and uniquely printed fabric on the theme of words and typewriters. One bit of fabric has a coffee theme. I have printed onto cotton a diagram of a Smith-Corona machine. Another patch features typewriter stamps. Polka dots, lower-case typed letters

Another typewriter scarf has been listed!

This cotton scarf was created for fellow typewriter collectors and people who love to read/write. Created from a patchwork of typewriter/writing themed fabrics, some embellished using my own typewriters and printed /stamped images of vintage typewriters. The back of the scarf is soft flannel.

Even though I had a lot of "hafta-gottas", I made a wee bit of time for sewing, because it was actually raining and I NEEDED to sew something while it rained.

I have not made any travel journals for my shop yet, but a friend said she'd pay me to make some. It is still hard for me to not just GIVE my creations as gifts but I am trying to be ok w being paid somewhat for my time. I know I will spend more than a few hours on these, but it doesn't feel like work!
