Our Story
My mission is to help women feel confident and beautiful with the body they have. This is near and dear to my heart because I have struggled with my own self-love since I had children more than 16 years ago. I tried to “disguise” my body and not draw attention to myself. I was convinced that one day I could wear those cute clothes from the mall, but until then, I wore oversized, mostly black clothes that were not flattering and certainly didn’t make me feel good.
In 2015, I had a realization that I needed to love myself - and take care of myself - right now. That is a hard thing for many women - we put ourselves last and don’t do the basic things we need to show our selves and our bodies love. Making a commitment to myself to eat real food on a schedule (I forget to eat), get enough sleep, and move my body more made me feel great. The self-love and acceptance I was showing myself felt empowering. In nine months, I lost 90 pounds and had NOTHING to wear.
Even after I lost my weight, I was still trying to wear the same old style of clothes, but I realized that I needed to dress my body as it was and finding clothes that fit, flattered and reflected my style were hard to find.
At a typical store, there is no one to really help you. The workers are not trained in fashion, they don’t know you or what you like. I decided that I could be THAT person and provide that service to women of all sizes.
