“Life moves. Things change. We get older. Working with kids for over 3 decades, I’ve grown to simply hope that my impact lives on in them, but I never expect to see it in real time. So when nearly 30 former Sydney Rae campers reached out to come work CAMP MADE4ME so they could ‘give back to the next generation and make camp as magical for these kids as it was for them,’ it was one of the most powerful things that’s ever happened in my life.

This post is a salute to the educators, nonprofit’ers and those who keep going, dedicating their lives to our youth, never knowing if they’ll truly see the fruits of their labor, but keep going because of the love for the work and the kids. Our give-back efforts go WAY beyond simply sending checks or boxes of donated bags, and CAMP MADE4ME is just one example of our many innovative, thoughtful initiatives with our founders leading the way all week long.

CAMP MADE4ME is a 100% free, week-long overnight summer camp for kids from too often overlooked communities—built on the belief that every kid deserves the life-changing, magical gift of camp.
