LoveShackFancy, founded by Rebecca Hessel Cohen, is inspired by a deep appreciation of history, a love of travel and unabashed femininity. We believe everything has a second life, endlessly sourcing vintage treasures to create beautiful pieces we hope will live in the closets of generations to come. We have always been thoughtful about the way we approach what we do from our design process, to the
partners we work with and materials we use. Committed to a continued investment in improving our impact both environmentally and socially, we wanted to start by sharing the progress we have made as well as the initiatives we are working on as we strive to make our impact a positive one. LoveShackFancy is the lovechild of Rebecca's affair with all things beach, starting with her family's Hamptons home. The colors, the light and the salty warm air inspired Rebecca's magical backyard wedding, evocative of the South of France meets Great Gatsby meets Great Expectations. "I truly wanted my bridesmaids to look and feel like ethereal goddesses, dancing barefoot in the garden under the moonlit summer night." To achieve her vision, Rebecca spent months in the NY garment district sourcing the best fabrics, eventually to design the perfect pattern for what would soon evolve into an effortless dress that transitions from day to night. A few years after the wedding, LoveShackFancy was officially born. The line will be sold at Bergdorf Goodman, Calypso, Free People, Revolve, Blue & Cream and many other high end boutiques across the country. Rebecca gave birth to a beautiful baby girl this summer.
