**DAY 130 💗**

One thing I'm looking forward to in retirement? **Having more time for projects like this.**

I've always had a hard time getting rid of things that still have a little life left in them. Give me something old, forgotten, thrifted, or tucked away in a closet, and chances are I'm already thinking about what it *could* become.

This thrifted wooden basket. A little blush spray paint, a little imagination...and she's getting a whole new life. And can we talk about this blush? **The blush is BLUSHING.** 😂💗

I think that's part of what excites me about this next chapter.

More time to create.
More time to DIY.
More time to repurpose the things I've held onto.
More time to appreciate keepsakes with all those memories.
And maybe even more time to discover possibilities I haven't thought of yet.

There's something beautiful about realizing that **old doesn't mean finished. Sometimes it just means ready for a new purpose.**

And now that I think about it...maybe that applies to more than just the basket.

**130 days until retirement.**
The countdown continues. 💗

When your creative brain refuses to turn off. 😂

While out with my friend Zena .princess.zee, we stopped by her daughter's shop, Fashion BAE Shop Fashion Bae , and I spotted this gold clutch. My first thought was, “I can put something on that!”

So I brought it home and gave it a little Paper Petals and More touch.

Gracefully Unbothered. 💕

And the sage outfit? Fashion BAE too!

I love when fashion and creativity come together and an ordinary find becomes something that feels completely your own.

What do y'all think? Did the clutch need the PPM touch? 👀

140 Days Until Retirement. 🌊

When I first started counting down, retirement still felt somewhere off in the distance.

But 140 days?

That feels different.

The closer I get, the more real it becomes. And, with every milestone, I can feel myself getting a little more excited about the life waiting on the other side.

Not because I’m trying to rush these days away.

I’m grateful for the journey that brought me here.

But I’m also ready for what’s next.

**The sequel is getting closer… 🦋**

Have you ever counted down to something for so long that one day you realized, “Wow…this is really happening”?

Sometimes walking boldly doesn’t mean you aren’t afraid.

Sometimes it means you feel the fear… and you step out anyway.

God never promised that every new season, opportunity, or step of faith would feel comfortable. But He did remind us that fear is not what He has given us.

He has given us power, love, and a sound mind.

So I don’t have to wait until I’m fearless to move forward. I can move with faith even when I’m afraid because the power I’m depending on isn’t just my own.

Take the step. Do it afraid. Trust God with the rest. 💕🙏🏽

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” — 2 Timothy 1:7

I almost didn't record this.

I was sitting in my car watching the rain, and for whatever reason, I picked up my phone and let the camera roll.

Nothing extraordinary was happening.

It was just rain.

But lately I've been thinking a lot about how quickly ordinary days become memories.

We're usually looking for the big moments, the birthdays, celebrations, graduations, weddings, vacations and milestones.

But so much of our life happens in between them.

A rainy afternoon.
A quiet drive.
A conversation we didn't plan.
An ordinary Tuesday evening.

Maybe keeping the keepsake isn't always about preserving a *thing*.

Sometimes it's simply noticing the moment while we're still in it.

And this one?

I think I'll keep it. 🤎

Dear Weekend,

Thank you for reminding me that life isn't measured only by what I accomplish...
but also by who I spend it with,
the laughter I share,
the memories I make,
and the moments I choose to simply enjoy.

See you again soon.
❤️

Hi, I’m Sarah.

Today I’m one step closer.

There are 150 days until my retirement.

Retirement Isn’t The End Of The Story…It’s The Sequel.

So every ten days, I’ll be taking another step closer to the Sequel and need ideas on how to celebrate each step. 💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽

Drop your idea in the comments and join me on this journey.

I’ll see you in 10 days!

Happy Sunday, friends. 🤍

I had every intention of posting this morning, but life had other plans.

Truth be told, this is what many of my Sundays have been looking like lately... cooking Sunday dinner for my family.

Cooking has never been one of my favorite things to do (don't judge me 😄), but it's become one of my greatest blessings.

Seeing everyone gathered around the table, hearing the conversations, watching my grandsons patiently waiting for dinner, and knowing they truly appreciate it reminds me that these ordinary moments are often the ones that become our most treasured memories.

Today's menu was pot roast with carrots and potatoes, green beans, yellow rice, muffins, and a little yellow cake with cream cheese frosting for dessert.

These are the moments I want to remember.

I hope your Sunday has been filled with love, laughter, good food, and the people who matter most.

Here's to a blessed week ahead and a beautiful start to August.

Because the memories we make today become the keepsakes of tomorrow.
