Angelic Stitcher

I started Angelic Stitcher in order to share my love of needlework with others. I've been stitching for over 40 years. My mother taught me needlepoint when I was 10 years old. When I was in my teens, my mother taught me how to sew. Along the way, I learned other embroidery techniques, such as stamped cross stitch, counted cross stitch, hardanger and ribbon embroidery. I started dabbling in needlep

oint again, especially since I learned how to do specialty stitches. The majority of my needlework has always been counted cross stitch. Since I was raised in a small town in Northwest Montana during the 70's, I only had access to kits. Thinking I didn't have a creative bone in my body, I made sure I followed the pattern EXACTLY as charted. Then I moved to the big city of Portland, and I decided to get a bit "rebellious" by changing the floss or cloth, then both. Somewhere along the way, I found myself altering the pattern altogether. Now I've come full circle by painting needlepoint canvases. I want to share my designs with fellow stitchers. Please take a look at what I’ve designed so far.
