Today was one of those moments that reminded me why I started. 🤎✨

I had the opportunity to participate in the ABLDP Class Day panel with the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and share a little about my journey as a business owner, the lessons learned, the challenges, and the importance of staying diligent and continuing to grow.

Starting NEMERS at just 18 years old, I never imagined all the doors it would open or the experiences it would bring. One thing I’ve learned along the way is that you don’t have to have it all figured out. You just have to be willing to learn, put in the work, stay consistent, and keep showing up!

One of my favorite parts of today was meeting so many amazing people, making new connections, and hearing from others who are on similar journeys. It’s always refreshing to be surrounded by people who are passionate about growing, learning, and making things happen. I truly enjoyed connecting with you all and can’t wait to stay in touch!

A special thank you to Jessica Velasquez Sanchez, Amber Living, and Manny Marquez for inviting me to be part of today’s panel. I’m extremely grateful for the opportunity to share my story, experiences, and lessons learned along the way.

If there’s one thing entrepreneurship has taught me, it’s that growth doesn’t happen overnight. Every challenge, every lesson, and every opportunity is part of the journey.

Meet Carol. 🤍

I had the opportunity to style Carol, but what stayed with me most wasn’t what she was wearing.

It was her story.

Carol is the definition of resilience.

She has endured unimaginable loss, including the heartbreaking loss of her daughter, Desiree, to breast cancer. It’s a pain no mother should ever have to experience, and yet Carol continues to move through grief alongside her husband, learning how to carry their daughter’s memory while continuing to live.

Through God’s love, grace and compassion, Carol has found the strength to forgive, to keep going and to choose light even after walking through some of the darkest moments of her life.

Her love for Desiree didn’t end with her passing. Carol turned her grief into purpose by creating Dez Liv2Luv foundation a nonprofit dedicated to honoring her daughter and keeping her legacy alive by making a difference in the lives of others.

She’s also an incredible grandmother who pours that same love into her grandchildren, giving them a beautiful connection to the mother they lost and a legacy they can continue to carry.

Carol’s story reminds us that grief and strength can exist together. That faith doesn’t mean we never experience pain, it means trusting there can still be light after the darkness.

Looking back at these photos, I realize why styling women has always meant so much more to me than putting together an outfit.

It gives me an opportunity to know the woman wearing it.

Her story. Her strength. What she’s overcome. What she’s still becoming.

And that’s something I want to carry with me into this next chapter of NEMERS, creating space to celebrate women like Carol and the stories that deserve to be told.

Carol, thank you for allowing me to share a piece of yours. 🤍

And through every step forward, I know Desiree’s legacy continues to live through you. 🌻

So… what happens to NEMERS now? 🤍

NEMERS will always have fashion at its heart, just in a different way.

I’ll be bringing back a small, curated selection of pieces online. Less inventory, more intention. Pieces I actually love, would wear, and can show you how to style in different ways.

But NEMERS is also becoming something more.

I want to create a space where we don’t just talk about what women are wearing, we talk about the women wearing it.

Their stories. Their businesses. Their new beginnings. Their wins. And even the seasons that required them to start over.

I want to style women. Share their stories. Give back. Create opportunities to connect. And use this platform for something bigger than selling clothes.

Because when I say NEMERS is for the woman on the go, I don’t just mean the woman with a busy schedule.

I mean the woman going after something.

The woman building a career or a business.
The woman raising a family.
The woman starting over.
The woman stepping into a new season.
The woman figuring it out as she goes.

Wherever she’s going, I want NEMERS to be part of her journey. 🤍

I didn’t close NEMERS. I closed a chapter of it. 🤍

My last boutique was inside Painted Tree, and truthfully, if their doors hadn’t abruptly closed, I probably would’ve kept going.

I’ve never been one to quit. I’ve always figured it out, pushed through and found another way.

So when that door closed outside of my control, it hit differently.

My heart went out to every small business affected because I know firsthand how much time, sacrifice and heart goes into building something of your own.

But for me, that unexpected ending also created an opportunity to stop and really reflect.

Instead of immediately asking, Where do I open next? I started asking:

Was I supposed to keep fighting to open another door… or was God closing this one because He was leading me somewhere else?

I still love fashion. I still love styling. And I still love NEMERS.

But my heart has been pulling me toward more — more connection with women, more purpose, more giving back and more impact beyond what someone purchased that day.

For the first time, I realized that not opening another boutique didn’t mean I was quitting.

Maybe I had simply outgrown the version of the dream I started at 18.

Sometimes a closed door isn’t the end. Sometimes it’s what pushes you toward the next level.

The storefronts may be closed, but NEMERS isn’t going anywhere.

We’re evolving. 🤍

And now we get to see what God does with the next chapter.

Hi everyone 🤍

We have almost 1,000 new faces here, and with so much changing behind the scenes, I think it’s time I reintroduce myself and NEMERS.

A lot of you may know I recently made the decision to close both of my boutique locations. That chapter deserves its own story, and I’ll share more soon. But before I tell you where NEMERS is going, I want to take you back to where it started.

NEMERS began when I was 18, reselling my own clothes and eventually opening a little shop inside Pan Am Plaza on the South Side of San Antonio.

I think entrepreneurship has always been in my blood.

My dad was a hustler in the best way. He became an entrepreneur at a young age, and although I lost him when I was only 16, his drive stayed with me. Looking back, I truly believe he’s been guiding me through this journey ever since.

I didn’t have a big business plan. I just knew I loved fashion, putting pieces together and the way the right outfit could make you feel.

That little idea grew into different locations, fashion shows, events and more memories than I can count.

But somewhere along the way, I realized something:

It was never just about the clothes. It was always about the woman wearing them.

The styling, the conversations, their stories and watching a woman leave feeling a little more confident, that’s what gave me purpose.

And lately, I’ve felt God pulling me toward something more.

I’ve asked myself more than once if it was time to let NEMERS go, but every time I felt the same tug: not yet.

So I went back to the beginning…my dad, fashion, styling, women and their stories, and my heart for giving back.

Maybe all of those pieces were always meant to become something bigger.

I don’t have every piece figured out yet, and maybe I’m not supposed to.

But I do know this:

NEMERS isn’t ending. It’s evolving.

NEMERSboutique.com is becoming NEMERS.com and this time, it’s about so much more than clothes.

I’ll share the rest piece by piece. 🤍
