💗 the faded green patina on these vintage chairs…the small carved details and the sense of time it evokes. I don’t know if it’s the ‘English’ or hopeless romantic in me but just love bringing something with timeless history into a space. Helps create a home with a story and makes it personal. DM if interested in seeing any of my vintage items or if you want to create the room or home of your dreams. 💗🤗

Art is always a great start…when designing a room. It can be inspiration for the color scheme, paint, fabrics, feeling and overall style of the room. Find art you love and go from there! In my studio this morning…enjoying this new vintage find…painting of a boy. 💗 the beautiful sky blue color of the background with the contrast of the coral pink in his sweater, the sweet expression on his face, the natural linen with cream and gold on the frame…inspiration is endless. Do you have a favorite piece of art you designed a room around?
for sale, DM if interested.

Some new Vintage finds in my studio at ‘Le Barn’. 💗 this solid white wood long bench with just the right amount of peeling paint and vintage charm. Hanging above is an amazing vintage original oil painting of ships at sea…by a Dutch painter, still researching this one but had to have it peeling paint and all. Needs some TLC and restoration but so satisfying to bring these beautiful items back to life and give them a new home. 💗

💗Art, Travel, Tango, and Treasure hunting…I combined them all on my recent trip to Madrid 🇪🇸. One of my biggest discoveries was art by Joan Vives Maristany (1901-1932). I was immediately drawn to his bold use of color and broad and confident brushstrokes. Clearly influenced by the impressionists, capturing the natural light and everyday outdoor scenes of people enjoying nature. Had to find out more about the artist…
Born in Spain, in the province of Girona to a family of farmers. During one of his produce deliveries in a neighboring town, he came across an artist, Meifren Roig painting at the beach. Seeing the boys enthusiasm and talent he agreed to teach Joan. From that encounter art became an irresistible obsession. It was at the beginning of the Century and news of immigrants arrived from the other side of the Atlantic. Meifren With some gallery connections in Buenos Aires (one of favorite cities and the home of tango). Joan left for Buenos Aires shortly after and his adventures began. His legacy of small paintings on wood reflect his travels, observations and curiosity of Life. So inspiring I had to bring some home…💗💗💗 his art. Tracey’s Travel Treasures Now available in my space at professionally framed by Some already SOLD so hurry in before they are all gone.
