The All-Season Crew Neck in Light Grey was the first sweater we made, and we built it from yak wool.

The All-Season Crew is a great all-around sweater. It can be a mid-layer, nice enough to wear out. I have been wearing this sweater for a month, and I have used it for all sorts of activities. I like sustainable clothing that still functions! This will last a long time, and I am excited to keep testing it out.

Our office runs cold until about 11, then the heat kicks in and by afternoon I'm peeling off layers I didn't need in the first place. I've cycled through so many cardigans and blazers trying to solve that problem and none of them ever quite worked.

What I didn't expect was that the fix would be a sweater that actually moves with my body temperature instead of just adding or subtracting bulk.

My yak wool cardigan has become the one thing I reach for without thinking. It's not too much in the afternoon and it's not not enough at 8am. I've stopped bringing backup layers to the office entirely.

60% of all clothing is made from plastic yarn. Every wash cycle sends over 7,000 synthetic microfibers into waterways, and no treatment can stop that. It's just what the material does.

SeaCell starts somewhere different. The seaweed it's made from is harvested off the coast of Iceland every four years, only from the tops of the plant, so the same beds fully regrow before anything is taken again. When you wash a SeaCell sweater, nothing sheds into the water. That's not a finish applied to the fabric. It's just how the fiber behaves.

The same smoothness that makes it gentle on sensitive skin also makes it efficient at moving moisture away from your body, which is what keeps bacteria from building up in the first place.

I'd been thinking about this purchase for weeks. Every time I opened my closet I'd see the pile of things I barely touched and wonder if I was just adding to it.

When the box finally arrived I set it on the counter for a minute before opening it. When I pulled out the All-Season Crew in Emerald Blue, the first thing I noticed was that there was mo seam along the shoulder and sides. Just one continuous piece of fabric that was instantly comfortable.

The color is even better in person. And living in Arizona, I was worried about weight and breathability, but the thickness is exactly right. Not too heavy, not too thin.

Can't wait to actually wear this one out into the world.

Day 19 of 30, and those two stacks next to me are headed to donation.

I stopped counting at some point, but I bought a lot of sweaters over a lot of years that looked fine in the store and fell apart after a few wears. Pilling, stretching, sitting in a drawer because they never felt quite right.

I reach for my Yak Wool Marled Quarter Zip every single morning now. That's not something I've ever said about a sweater before. Once I had something I actually wanted to wear every day, the math on everything else stopped making sense. I'm already planning to buy a second one. The rest of this pile? Someone else can have them.

Most garments start as flat fabric that gets cut into pieces and sewn back together. Every seam in that process is a place where thread can fray, fabric can chafe, or pressure can build against your skin.

Our sweaters come off the Shima Seiki Wholegarment machine as a single complete piece. No cutting, no stitching, no finishing labor. The construction is seamless because it was never assembled in the first place.

That's also why we can knit on-demand. When an order comes in, we receive the instructions for that specific style and fit, knit it, and ship it. No excess inventory sitting in a warehouse. Less than 1% production waste.

It's a different way to make a sweater, and it changes what the sweater can do.

I have been traveling for work since Sunday. Two cities, four meetings, one dinner I did not have time to change for.

I packed my All-Season Cardigan as my one layer and never touched it with a steamer the entire trip. It went from a conference room to a restaurant without me giving it a second thought. No wrinkles, no smell, nothing that made me feel like I had been wearing the same thing for four days.

That is genuinely all I wanted from it.

Day 3 of my 7 Day Challenge with my SeaCell Cardigan.

Yesterday it went to church over a floral dress, then on a walk, then through the grocery store with my husband. This morning I was out the door before anyone else was up, same cardigan, no second thought.

I already love how it drapes. It layered perfectly over my dress for the evening, and then just came with me into the cool morning air without missing a beat. 4 more days to go, and I have a feeling this is going to be easy.

Day 5 of my 5 Adventure Challenge and I've officially become the woman who takes selfies alone in the park. No complaints.

This week had everything. School pickup, a work trip, a weekend visiting my mom. I packed one sweater and it went to all of it. Morning flight, dinner table, a walk outside in the sun today. No wrinkles, no smell, nothing I had to think about.

The Emerald Blue Quarter Zip is genuinely the easiest thing in my closet right now. I keep waiting for it to let me down and it just doesn't.
