Today I planned a activity I was sure my toddler would love.
And honestly? It didn’t turn out the way I pictured it would.
But while I was focused on what went wrong, she was focused on what went right. She was curious. She was excited. She was discovering! She kept saying look at that!
It reminded me of something I think a lot of moms need to hear. Our children don’t need perfect activities or pinterest perfect moments. They don’t need us to get everything right. They just need us to sit with them, explore with them and see the world through their eyes for a little while.
Maybe we’re all carrying around a version of motherhood that was never meant to exist. 🫶✨

These are the only toys my kids actually played with on the plane-that actually kept them entertained ✈️🫶
If you’re flying with little kids soon, save this for your trip.

This is your sign to stop overthinking toddler activities. I grabbed 2 bowls, some water, rocks, and a spoon…and suddenly my toddler was locked in.

Mama Made Mayhem of the day ✨🦔

This simple setup had my toddler:
✔️Climbing and balancing
✔️Building coordination
✔️Building fine motor skills
✔️Working on focus and persistence

She grabbed a porcupine quill, climbed the play couch, added it to the porcupine, and repeated until it was full. Simple setup and lots of learning and plenty of toddler energy burned!
Save this activity for a quick setup with big benefits. 🌸
