I tried y'all, I really did. Took off two months, started preparing in July and didn't schedule anything for this week that would exhaust me.
However, the worst part about chronic pain/autoimmune disease is it genuinely doesn't give a f**k about you, your plans or what's convenient.
I have to stop lying to myself and really admit what I am capable of. Unfortunately, with out my husband, I am not capable of doing markets. The set up/tear down and sitting all day is a lot on my body. (Even with him it is sometimes too much)
I am so so so sad and angry and tired of living in a body that doesnt cooperate. I have had a diagnosis for over 5 years. As ridiculous as it sounds, I secretly believed that if I did all thw right things, one day it would all just go back to "normal". Where I didnt have to ration out my abilities. Where I didnt have to depend on people for very basic tasks. Where my energy didnt start the day in the negative.
I realize now that will probably never happen and this is my new normal. That means admitting there are lots of things I can no longer do like 9 hr market days. For someone who used to work 60-80 hrs a week, this is a tough pill to swallow but I cant keep denying my new reality.
I have soooo much stuff made for this event so I am going to post them and hopefully find the right owners for each amazing piece.
I appreciate everyone's understanding and support. I hope all my fellow vendors sell out tomorrow ❣️
