The Collective Exp commUnity organization creating new models with a grass roots and no-nonsense approach to open-source community, with strong roots in electronic music.

The Collective Exp began as a social group in Santa Barbara, comprised of co-workers employed by the local clothing company The Territory Ahead, who early on began referring to themselves as The Collective. This positive community of individuals coined themselves “Family” and began building a model for living healthy, positive, supportive lifestyles together – networking and pooling their combined

money, time, energies, and resources to affect positive and profound change in each others lives. They adopted several philosophies that became the backbone of their value system. Coming together to have fun while working toward positive goals - as individuals and as a community, as well as working toward something (usually community driven) while we play, are what we have built our foundation on.

We've all heard about arthritis, but most of us don't know that there are 100 forms of arthritis, or that 50 million Americans have it, as well as 300,000 children who live with arthritis pain every day. It's the leading cause of disability in the U.S., and sometimes it's even deadly.

I'm asking you to help make the impact of arthritis unacceptable and donate to my efforts in support of the 2013 Arthritis Walk®. With every donation, you are helping make a difference in research, community outreach, education and life-improving programs.

Our team Ashley's "Derma" Blasters is walking in support of my niece Ashley Rueff.

Ashley was diagnosed with Dermatomyositis when she was only four years old. It took quite some time and many different doctors to finally get a diagnosis. We were very fortunate that Ashley was diagnosed when she was, as it could have been fatal.

Unfortunately, with Ashley's illness there are no medications to treat it. She was initially pumped with prednisone (this steroid is considered a cure all). However, she was on prednisone for so long the fear is that if she ever comes out of remission, Prednisone may not work the next time.

We are so very happy that Ashley is still in remission after ten years.

Please help support this cause that is so important to us by leaving a monetary donation and joining our walk team. Walk will take place May 18, 2013 in Sacramento, CA.

beautiful day - TGIF... take time this weekend to get (re)connected to yourself, to nature. self-care is so important, and usually tossed aside for less noble causes.

what does this mean? drink lots of water (a normal amount), go for a hike, sit on the beach, yoga, meditate, sun-gaze, listen to music during times you normally dont, paint a picture, take a picture of something natural and beautiful, visit a hot springs, lay in the sun, watch clouds, plant a seed, eat something sustainable/organic/local today, and above all... Love, Love, Love
