Keith’s brow dripped with sweat as the sun boiled down upon him. He turned to Tanner, hands branded with dirt and fingernails dark as charcoal left over after a midnight fire. Marc, who was off in the distance, casted a faint shadow as he approached, face clouded with dust like a storm crossing over the Savannah. They were dog tired, exhausted, but proud of the day they had accomplished. As they l

ooked at each other, they knew they had something special. They knew their work had meant something, and they knew that this idea could change the game. As the daydream faded, the subtle roasting of a fresh pot of coffee brewing, broke the silence. As the waitress approached, they closed their computers, washed up, bowed their heads, ate some supper and shook hands. Keith, a southern gentleman turned to the table and said, “ It’s time to do something special, Fellas.” Marc, a rugged soul, replies, “This is going to be a wild ride.” Tanner, a rule following rebel with a calm and comforting look closes his eyes, takes a deep breath and softly says, “This is going to be so DOPE!” Then... the dust settles. The night grows quiet, and the honest outlaws pay their tab and walk off into the cool night. That, my friends, is where our story begins. Iron Oak Apparel Company was born. It was time to “Leave our mark, whatever that means.”-
