Vintage Betsey. Reworked the Jaybird way. 🖤

An authentic vintage Betsey Johnson “Ready to Rock?!” scarf gets a completely new life on this one-of-a-kind black denim jacket.

The original illustrated scarf takes over the back, while pieces of the zipper-print textile continue across the chest and cuffs. And because the zipper print was just begging for it… I spelled JAYBIRD across the back in actual metal zippers. 🤘

Jaybird Designs officially has hats—and of course, I couldn’t just leave them alone. 😏

These feature original embroidery combined with patches I create from repurposed textiles. Same embroidered design, completely different look depending on the textile underneath.

Because the patches are made from repurposed materials, no two are exactly alike.

Sweet on the surface. Trouble underneath.

Created from a repurposed Betsey Johnson textile, this one-of-a-kind tote is bright, bold, covered in skulls, and definitely not as innocent as she looks.

The original textile was completely reconstructed into the bag itself, with the print carried through the body, trim, and handles.

Inside, she’s finished with black neoprene lining and an interior pocket for the essentials.

An Alexander McQueen scarf, layered over silk dupioni, individually quilted by me, and completely reconstructed into a one-of-a-kind statement bag.

Finished with genuine water buffalo leather, screw-in rivet hardware, protective metal feet, black linen lining, and an interior zipper pocket with a razor blade pull—because the details matter. 🖤

This isn’t a scarf sewn onto a bag.
The scarf became the bag.
