I have been near a sewing machine my whole life. My "Oma" made draperies and both of my aunts also spent a lot of time in their sewing rooms working on quilts, Barbie clothes, clothing and ornaments. My mom sewed clothing since high school and as a child I donned many matching outfits created for me and my sisters. I first started sewing when I was about 12. Since then I've always had a sewing mac

hine nearby. I love giving and receiving handmade gifts. I've found that fabric is such a fun colorful medium to work with. I feel a connection to the women in my family by creating fun, colorful, useful items.

“Last minute Linda” strikes again. Nothing like deciding to make a bag with a new to me pattern with some modifications the day before a market!! I have another one cut but I won’t get it done before leaving for a social engagement in the next hour! Does your brain constantly tell that you have more time than you really do? I hate that. See you tomorrow in Manitowoc and please sing and chant “No rain!” with me.
