Monday doesn't start on Monday. It starts at 4pm on Friday.
Two cars that didn't quite get finished. Three voicemails nobody returned after four. A part that shipped and nobody logged.
Then the shop closes and the queue stays open. Saturday and Sunday, texts and voicemails land where nobody is watching, and two of those people call the next shop on the list.
So you open at seven already behind, and the first hour goes to working out what the week even is. Which cars are still here and why. Who got promised what on Friday. Which parts came in, and for whom.
That hour isn't work. It's reconstruction.
Monday isn't a hard day. It's an undocumented one. Two days off shouldn't cost you an hour of forensics.
Swipe if you open early every Monday just to find out where you are.
