I am Joolienn was born in 2009, the day Joolie handed in her corporate hat- got rid of her "business attire", decided rainbow was the new black, put on a silly hat that she found somewhere in my closet, and began designing one of a kind art, accessories, clothing, and anything else my silly imagination will conjure up. Creating something from nothing stems from my childhood where my family did no
t have a lot material things and was taught to use my creativity, ingenuity, and most importantly - my imagination- to create art and happiness. Currently I work in a tiny pinhole of a "workshop" also known as my apartment that I share with my love and our three silly guinea pigs. It is filled to the brim with rescued items that were discarded and saved from the landfill, and may have never seen the light of day again.....That and tons of FEATHERS- both new and recycled!! I carefully choose each and every feather, jewel, piece of fabric, etc. as it is very important to me as a designer to understand where all of the materials I use come from, and to choose only the most eco-friendly to work with.
