I LOVE outside, and especially if there is a strong ecological history attached to the land. If you are in the South Bend area, you have to check out the Lydick Bog Nature Preserve. Super easy to navigate, and you might spot a Monarch or two!

Last minute the Door Village Lions decided to help by giving free meals to our community without power. It feels good to serve and we will get through the aftermath of the storm together.

Here are some resources if you need some help during the impact of Tuesday’s storms. Being from South Bend and NWI I know our community needs to come together and help each other out!

Our network has always been about connection. Right now, let’s use that connection to help our neighbors. ❤️

Northwest Indiana is hurting. One storm after another has left widespread damage, hundreds of thousands without power and many of our friends, families, businesses and communities trying to figure out what comes next.

If you or your organization is offering resources—power or charging stations, cooling locations, generators, ice, water, meals, gas, supplies, cleanup assistance or simply a safe place to go—please share it in the comments.

And if you need something, check the comments or tag those offering resources. Someone in our network may know exactly where to find it.

Here are some tips to help you!

1: Look for signage! You will find that AED signage is pretty universal.
2: Download the Pulse Point app and be directed to your NEAREST AED.
3: ASK! Don’t be a bystander - be an upstander. Jump to action - save a life.
