📦 The first boxes have officially arrived… 🤍

This moment feels extra special.

These are the very first maternity arrivals since we took over Tailored Mama, and I don’t think I’ve ever been so excited to open a shipment. 🥹

There are so many beautiful pieces inside that I can’t wait to share with all of the mamas (and mamas-to-be) in our community. Thoughtfully selected styles that are comfortable, flattering, and made to help you feel beautiful through every stage of pregnancy.

🎒 Because every student deserves a confident start.

As part of our new back to school Style Syllabus collection, we’re proud to introduce Fill a Backpack- a community initiative to help local Spearfish elementary students head back to school with the supplies they need to succeed.

After connecting with Spearfish Elementary, we learned that one of the greatest needs is fully stocked backpacks for students who may need extra support throughout the school year.

Here’s how you can help:

✏️ Donate new school supplies at Elysian.
🎒 We’ll purchase the backpacks and assemble them by grade level.
📚 Together, we’ll deliver complete backpacks directly to the school’s counselors before classes begin.

Hello! I’m Jamie 👋💗

I’m so excited (and honored!) to introduce myself as the new owner of Tailored Mama.

First, I want to thank Dory for trusting me with something she has poured so much heart into. My goal is to honor what she’s built while bringing fresh energy, new inventory, and new ideas to help Tailored Mama continue to grow.

As many of you know, I’m also the owner of Elysian Clothing in downtown Spearfish. One of the things I’ve always loved most is helping women feel confident in every season of life and pregnancy is certainly one of those seasons.

I truly believe the Black Hills deserves a dedicated maternity boutique, and I’m excited to continue serving moms in our community while also growing Tailored Mama online.

As I flipped through photos trying to find the right one for this announcement, I was reminded of just how many moments we’ve shared together. From positive pregnancy tests and morning sickness, to sleepless nights, 2 a.m. feedings, first days of school, and all the highs and lows that come with motherhood.

When I opened Tailored Mama, it wasn’t because I wanted to own a boutique. It was because I was a mom who saw a need. I wanted mothers in our community to have a place where they could find clothes that fit, feel confident, and know they were supported during one of the most transformative seasons of their lives.

Over the years, this little dream became so much more than a store. It became a community. As I continue that same mission of supporting moms and families in different ways, I’m excited to share that Tailored Mama is entering its next chapter. Beginning today, Jamie Clark, owner of Elysian Clothing in downtown Spearfish, will be taking over Tailored Mama.

Finding the right person mattered, and Jamie understands the heart behind this business and the need it fills in our community. The good news is Tailored Mama isn’t going anywhere. The mission continues, maternity clothing will still have a home in Spearfish, and there are exciting things ahead.

To every mama who shopped with us, brought your babies through our doors, ordered online late at night, shared our posts, told a friend, or simply cheered us on—thank you. You helped build something special, and I will forever be grateful. I can’t wait to cheer Jamie on and watch what comes next for Tailored Mama.
