Jake from wears O.T.s about 90% of the time. So we gave him a brand-new pair of Bison O.T.s and told him to put them straight to work and test how they feel day 1.

His honest feedback: comfortable right out of the box, no break-in, and the heel gave him a solid lock-in point for his spurs.

The O.T. isn’t designed to replace our dedicated Climber boot. When Jake knows he’ll be spending five or more hours in the tree, he reaches for something more rigid for climbing. But for everything else? These are his go-to, because they are overbuilt to handle anything in your day.

On the ground. Up the tree. Back to the truck. That’s what the O.T. was built for.

Some gear becomes part of the story.

That YETI cooler was one of those things.
It was a seat between shifts. A place to grab some water. A little bit of shade and relief in the middle of long days on the fireline.

And for us, it became something more: a reminder that people were behind these crews.

YETI didn’t stop there. They sent more gear to help us keep supporting the firefighters on the ground.

We went home, but after peoples requests, homefront goes nationwide.

The messages kept pouring in. From all over the country: “What about us?”

Fires were raging. Boots were failing. And people were asking for help.

So we sat down and talked about whether we were really going to do this.

We decided we are.

For how long? We don’t know. But as long as we are able, we will.
