Sometimes, when we're working ON something, we're working THROUGH something too...
A bad day.
A heavy heart.
A life challenge.
Too much.
Not enough.
We peel away layers of paint. Of time. We are busy thinking our own thoughts. We decide how we want a piece to look. But if we pay enough attention, often we have a piece tell us- That's not right. This piece, I had planned to paint yellow. A cheerful color. But as I sanded it tonight, this old gal spoke to me. And look how beautiful she is. 😍 It's dings and dents. Its years of imperfections, wear and tear make it just perfect how it is don't you think? It needs more work, but I love how its coming along and maybe all she needs is a little cleaning and some clear coat. It'll be ready for another 100 years dutifully serving in a new home. ❤️
