Hokey pokey project! I know...it's been awhile. There's so many that I haven't finished completely enough to post. But this one is close enough! I ripped apart a pallet and built a poolside bar/storage cabinet. Still needs a little more work but for now it will serve its intended purpose.

Whoops...this has been finished for awhile, just never posted pics. So the original staircase was wood treads painted green, and I foolishly thought I could easily strip 4 layers of paint all the way to the bottom. I finished two and said to hell with it. Instead I stained those two top stairs and re-painted the rest as well as part of the wall. I wanted dimension and character, so added wood trim all the way down and painted the lower half. Here's the fun part, I'd always wanted a secret passage of sorts...the doorway only leads to my master bath and was just a boring hollow core wood door, identical to all the others in the house. So I painted it, disguised it best I could to blend in with the new wall. Added a vintage glass k**b and it works for now.

An old friend gifted me this cool vintage style telephone recently. A quick makeover and now my telephone table has its centerpiece. Thank you Misty White!!

Here's the 2nd room in the renovation ABSOLUTELY complete. My spare bedroom, which was at the end of the rainbow spectrum that my house was painted...lavender. From ceiling to floor and closet. Now it's craftsman vintage with cherry wood veneer and some wallpaper. Yes, I said wallpaper. If it wasn't such a tiny room, I'd move into it as a master, I just love it!

Gawd Lord...remember that awful kitchen?! 😳 I finally replaced the vent hood over the cooktop. The last appliance to be upgraded in the kitchen renovation, but not the least important. I didn't add pictures of what came out of the 60 year old I pulled down, because I was too busy gagging. My new Kobe vent is going to not only keep my kitchen cleaner and cooler, but I won't be tagging my head on the corners anymore. Had to take out a few tiles to allow for install but now at least I can finish the tiling above the cooktop and not worry about roof shingle bits, dead bugs, or 60 years of grease and dirt landing in my cooking anymore. GROSS. This baby is a beast!!

I finished my deck build in the backyard! While not alot of it was recycled materials, I was able to add a few things as repurposed. The birch branch came from my moms yard and serves as a trellis for a black eyed Susan to climb up to the arbor. The cedar slab I've carted around for years, and will help extend "counter space" for condiments and BBQ plates. That monster tree trunk is now covered, though the roots are still going to plague me in the future.

Well...it's not authentic, but I tried my best. The new sliding TARDIS door built from scratch, currently waiting for the Doctor in my basement.
