We're (finally) moving (again)! Our first few months in Spokane were spent in a lovely little apartment in a beautiful neighborhood that had very little space for inventory/creation. Now that we're back in a house, I'm looking forward to having some space to spread out, get an inventory built back up, and get to share my process more!
In the meantime, orders will likely be a bit slower over the next few weeks as I unpack and settle into this new space. Thanks in advance for your patience, and I can't wait to show you what I'm working on 🌞

Introducing the Cowboy Boot Tapestry! This year, I've been loving the process of exploring a theme, so I'm excited to show off the first item in March's Western collection 🤠 These guys are 9x9 inches, and would be the perfect addition to a gallery wall, or tucked away on their own in a corner that needs a little extra flair ✨️ As always, if my pre-selected colors aren't speaking to you, message me to talk custom colorways!

January in the shop saw coffee shop office days ☕️ travels for pattern inspiration 🌴 collecting antiques that might find their way into the shop one day 👀 and revisiting some old favorite patterns thanks to your orders 🥰

November and December in the shop were spent quietly taking in views 🌄, admiring street art in Cambridge 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿, hauling a truly insane amount of suitcases 5000 miles 🧳, testing new color combinations 🎨, and settling in to a new (temporary) space 🏠. The shop is live again, and it's been lovely to work on products for you all 🌞. 2026 has already brought exciting changes for us, and will undoubtedly continue. Be sure to keep an eye on new designs in store, and maybe even some in-person events 😉💛

I love seeing stores and cafes that display and sell sh*tty local art. Everybody on the planet should be making sh*tty local art. Everyone in the community should get to see what sh*tty local art everyone else is making. Eventually you will find something and be like hold on. This weirdly speaks to me. I've never seen anything quite like this, whether because of this person's idiosyncratic style or strange choice of subject matter or what. And suddenly your favorite piece of art is a collage painting done by a woman who waits tables during the day and does roller derby at night and uses the excess flyers and paper menus from both places of work to make amateur art on the weekends and you realize this is such a bizarre combination of circumstances that has produced something so striking to you, how lucky you are to live in a world where this got to exist and you got to see it

This month in the shop: zero-waste home projects, a stock refresh, sending plant starts to new homes, a trip to Poland for inspiration, apple canning, etc. 🍂 Stay Sunny is now on vacation mode, and will remain that way until early next year. In the meantime, I've been working away on some spooky decor for my house (that might find it's way into the shop next year), preserving some tangible memories from our time in the UK, and trying to soak up as much art and culture as I can before our journey back to the USA. 🇺🇸🇬🇧 You can expect to see updates from me as we move our household and pets across the Atlantic, perhaps some content about how I manage material-intensive crafts on the go, and updates on some personal projects I'm working on as I wait for business materials to follow me across the pond. ✈️ Happy October friends, stay sunny 💛

Snaps from a summer spent.... unexpectedly preparing to move!🎉Our family (and Stay Sunny) is headed back to the USA, and we're equal parts nervous and excited for this next chapter. First and foremost, thanks to everyone who has loved on us, supported Stay Sunny, and listened to us vent as we start to navigate what post-military life looks like, we'll continue to need it 😉 Business-wise, I'm taking things month-by-month. This September, things on Etsy will stay the same, but I'll also be dedicating some of my time to selling off plants, some craft supplies that won't travel well, and maybe even some clothes and furniture- so if you live in Cambridgeshire/Suffolk and want to see those things, please reach out on Facebook where I'll be doing all of that 🌿 As our move gets closer, I anticipate temporarily stopping my larger made-to-order items (blankets, tapestries, loveys, and potholders), and opting to do some limited drops of batch-made products. If there's something you'd like to see in future drops, I'm all ears! 😊 Finally, thanks to those of you who help my art be seen and find homes out in the world. Milan/Como art moodboard ☀️

I love bringing pieces of my travel home with me and into the things I design for Etsy! You may have noticed references to spots around the American West 🌵 as well as some English and Spanish influences. When I take a trip, my camera roll is often filled with patterns, colors, or textures I'd like to replicate in my work. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, but it's always fun to have a souvenir of artworks that made me feel inspired in all of these incredible places 🌞
