Not every project goes according to plan, but progress is progress. This miter saw station has fought me every step of the way, and today we finally got the frame squared, reinforced and ready for its top. One step closer to a shop that works as hard as I do.

Progress doesn't have to be perfect to be worth celebrating.
Yesterday ended with a workshop that's one step closer to being ready for White Barn Wonders. There are still plenty of projects ahead, but it's exciting to see it all coming together.

Momentum Monday 🔨
Yesterday was a big milestone for White Barn Wonders!
I finally got the miter saw set up, learned how to use it, made my first cuts, and started building my workshop worktable. It may not seem like much, but every new skill and every project brings me one step closer to creating even more handcrafted pieces.
Building a small business isn't just about the finished products—it's about learning, growing, and having the confidence to tackle something new.
I'm excited to see where this journey leads, and I'm so thankful to have all of you along for the ride. ❤️

A little behind-the-scenes truth:

Building White Barn Wonders isn’t just making finished pieces. It’s also setting up the workspace, learning the tools, organizing supplies, testing materials, and figuring things out one step at a time.

It may not always look pretty in the middle, but every little step is helping me build something bigger. 🤍

This week’s find is poplar — a simple, smooth wood that has me excited for some upcoming custom pieces.

I love seeing supplies arrive because it means an idea is starting to move from “maybe someday” into “okay, let’s make this real.”

Real life small-business update:

Today was one of those behind-the-scenes days where the work doesn’t look fancy, but it still matters.

Materials are arriving, shop pieces are coming together, and I’m slowly building the setup that will let White Barn Wonders do more custom wood pieces, gifts, signs, and home décor.

Some days are finished products. Some days are supplies on the porch, sawdust plans, and a whole lot of “we’re getting there.”
