AGGIE MD

AGGIE MD Invented by a doctor, inspired by a daughter. Smarter solutions to bring your little one back to health.

Here's the backstory: as a mother and an ER doctor, I've watched babies spit out medication (including my own) for the last 15 years of my practice. In fact, studies have shown that up to 50% of infants are not dosed correctly, in part from rejection of medication. Thus, I patented a very small, pacifier device that connects to an oral syringe to ease ingestion: Pacidose. Parents measure the drug

and can be sure their baby gets the whole dose with one plunge of the syringe. Because it flows into the back of the tongue through the pacifier, the baby doesn't get a chance to reject it. Other devices exist with the same concept, but Pacidose is a significant improvement in that:

· A hospital grade syringe plunges the medication, rather than relying on the baby to suck it out

· The soft, compliant ni**le has a better mouth feel and is modeled after real pacifiers

· A narrow central tube in the ni**le prevents waste and allows the full dose to be delivered

· Accurate measurements of liquid are made with the syringe and injected directly into the central tube--no transferring or spilling liquid

· Can also be used with oral rehydration therapy
