Our interest in antique rugs & kilims spans over 30+ years. Our focus is looking for the archaic motif and lustrous wool with saturated colors.

We are NY based with an upcoming gallery on 74 Main Street Stamford, NY 12167. We ship worldwide. The rugs and textiles we collect fall into the antique category. We strive to discover unique pieces that will later complement any room, space, floor or wall. All major weaving regions are represented including Persian, Caucasian, Central Asian, Turkish Anatolian and Chinese, to name a few. Our rugs

6'0" X 10'7" Antique Yomud Kilim

Collector's Notes:

This antique Turkmen Yomud Kilim (Palas) was woven in the late 19th Century. Here, the weaver’s fine needlework of light blue-green lattice frames both the larger indigo hooked 'kochak' motifs and interconnecting madder red diamonds with varying centers. Large striped flatwoven ends show spaced amulets on a rich eggplant purple brown attributed to the Yomut/Yomud. Great kilim rug for defining larger spaces.

8'10 X 11'10 Antique Chinese Ningxia Carpet

Collector's Notes:

This antique Chinese Ningxia carpet was woven in the last quarter 19th century and features a striking all-over elaborate interconnected vinery with blossoming peony flowers and floating multicolored butterflies. The main border shares a similar spirit from the field design with the use of soft earthy colors and cloudband design motifs and a beautiful array of lotus flowers with symbolic meanings including happiness. The slight distressing to the wool pile adds to the overall beauty of this piece. Great room-size rug for any interior.

This antique Caucasian Kilim small flatwoven rug was woven in the 2nd half of the 19th Century and features a very colorful palette and fine weave. The kilim displays 2 rows of alternating large hexagonal medallions with finely drawn perched bird heads. Interspersed are two rows of four-headed opposing bird motifs. Great accent floor rug or wall hanging art.

This antique Shirvan kilim flatwoven rug was woven in the mid to late 19th Century and features a very colorful palette and fine weave. The kilim displays 5 rows of large hexagonal latch-hook medallions on an ivory background. All bordered by six horizontal bands containing stepped diamonds and alternating opposed triangular crenelations. Gorgeous floor rug or large wall hanging art.

This antique Qashqai small rug was woven in the late 19th Century. It features alternating ivory and blue vertical stripes all surrounded by a large border with faded fuchsia background and 'herati' (serrated leaves) motifs. Antique piece with a vintage feel. Great accent floor rug.

4'11" X 8' Antique Qashqai

Collector's Notes:

This antique Qashqai from the late 19th century features a triple-linked medallion design and superb use of color. The field is filled with birds, a few animals, and numerous flowers with small botehs among them. This rug is in excellent condition with slight even wear and good pile. The rug is finely woven with lustrous, soft wool and has a nice floppy handle. Ready for use or display.
