🧵✨ Ready to Take the Mystery Out of Your Serger? ✨🧵

Has your serger been sitting in the box or gathering dust in a corner? This hands-on class is the perfect opportunity to gain confidence and learn the fundamentals of serging from an experienced instructor!

📅 Basic Serger Class

🗓️ Saturday, August 29, 2026
⏰ 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM

• $55 ASG Members
• $75 Non-Members

👥 Class Size Limited to 12 Students

In this beginner-friendly workshop, you'll learn:

✔️ 4-thread seams
✔️ Finishing seams
✔️ Switching to 3-thread modes
✔️ Edge finishing techniques
✔️ Rolled hems
✔️ Serging curves and corners
✔️ Professional serger techniques to elevate your sewing projects

🪡 Prerequisite: Students must be able to thread their serger from scratch. Need help? A remedial threading session will be available on August 8 with Rita Mantel ($10 donation).

📦 A fabric kit is included. Bring your serger, manual, thread, tools, and a 3-ring binder for your stitching samples.

Donations Are Now Being Accepted! 💚

The ASG Atlanta Chapter is officially collecting donations for our annual Common Threads Fabric Resale 2026. You have a chance to pass along quality sewing items and help fellow makers discover new treasures!

This year’s color theme: GREEN 🌿

Here’s how to prep your donations:
- Wrap fabric with a muslin strip and label width (inches) and yardage (closest ¼ yard)
- Bag small notions with counts (we’ll price them for you)
- Garment & quilting fabric only (no home‑dec or scraps)
- Patterns, notions, books, and embroidery items are welcome
