**Horrible Experience with Air India – Avoid if Possible**
I recently had an appalling experience with Air India on my flights from SFO to Delhi and back. On my outbound flight from SFO to Delhi, my seat was broken, my tray was unusable, and the entertainment screen was non-functional. The worst part was that I sustained injuries during the flight, resulting in bruises and blood on my hands and significant discomfort in my lower back. Despite filling a complaint about this horrible experience, I am still waiting for a resolution.
The return flight from Delhi to SFO was equally disappointing. Given the injuries I had sustained due to their negligence, Air India should have provided me with a comfortable seat without additional charges. Instead, they made me pay extra for a better seat, and to add insult to injury, I did not even get the seat I had paid for initially. I had to pay again to secure a seat that should have been mine in the first place. I am still waiting for a refund for the additional charges incurred.
To make matters worse, their customer support team is extremely unhelpful. All they had to say was, "We are sorry for your discomfort and wasting your time, but we cannot give you a seat or upgrade you as this is not our policy." There is no one to take accountability for the issues or provide a satisfactory resolution.
The lack of response and accountability from Air India is deeply frustrating. The physical injuries, coupled with the financial burden of paying for services not rendered, make this an airline I would strongly advise against. Save yourself the hassle and choose a different airline if you value your comfort and well-being. Avoid Air India!
