I finally made the change, and I have to say, my hair is sending a massive thank you note to everyone who voted for brown!

When it was blonde, it was starting to feel just like a bale of hay, but going darker completely saved it. It feels so soft and healthy again.

Good morning, friends! ☀️

Starting my day today by simply remembering God’s heart toward us!
He always desires for us to walk in health, life, and peace.

I’m choosing to rest in the comfort that the price has already been paid, and I don't have to carry the weight or the worry all by myself.

And I know the Lord will call those to be with him. My loved ones, my friends, my family!

The old hymn lines have been running through my mind this morning:

"What a friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and griefs to bear! What a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer!"

Coupled with that, these words are keeping my heart deeply anchored today:

He has borne our griefs, sicknesses, weaknesses, and distresses and carried our sorrows and pains... and with his stripes we are healed and made whole. Isaiah 53:4–5

I'm stepping into today with a restful mind, so thankful for His grace. Wishing everyone a beautiful and blessed day! ✨

Good morning friends! I hope everyone had a wonderful and safe weekend. I am sending up extra prayers this morning for some who had a scary one. We are diving into our study today talking all about the breastplate of righteousness. What's one thing that matters to you most? It really is the heart of the matter. The breastplate is designed to protect our most vital organ, and it got me thinking about how the enemy doesn’t just casually stroll into our lives. He has a very specific target, and that target is our heart. He wants to inject bitterness, anger, or just a little bit of compromise right where our deepest emotions and motivations live. When we aren't protecting that space by living out God's standards, we are practically throwing an open invitation to the enemy to disrupt our peace. I know it disrupts my peace every time I walk away just a little bit from what I know that the Lord is putting on my heart.
But what I absolutely love about what we are learning is we aren't expected to carry the heavy weight of trying to be good or perfect all on our own. Physically, a Roman soldier's heavy breastplate actually hooked right into his belt to distribute the weight. Spiritually, it's the exact same for us. Our pursuit of righteousness is entirely supported by God's truth. We don't have to manufacture it in our own strength, which is such a beautiful reminder for a Monday morning. The Holy Spirit takes up residence inside us to do what we simply cannot do alone, helping us align our behavior with Him day by day. Proverbs 4:23 reminds us to guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life. We surely felt these in our hearts for our country over the weekend, standing up for what our country means to us and praying for peace and unity! Here's to keeping our hearts guarded and our eyes fixed on Him today. Let me know your thoughts in the comments. Have a beautiful and blessed Monday everyone!
