Sunshine and rainbows 👈

I’ve made 2 hand spun hand knit sweaters that this point. The last one I started in November and finished earlier this month. I’ll share a post about it soon.
Crazy enough, one of my tour de fleece goals is to start another 🤡

I’m spinning some polwarth and bamboo blend oh so fine it’s taking forever but that’s kind of the point, right ?

My amazing drum carder is from brother and it’s a BEAST and I love it !! If you want one lmk I am an Ashford and brother dealer and can point you in the right direction.

One skein wonder in my farm yarn, Rambalpaca

I can't get enough of triangle scarves right now; they are so easy to make and you can basically use any weight of yarn to make the perfect accessory!

Also, these roses are just about the only thing I saved from getting removed from the garden. I think they are knockout? which I tend to be kind of picky about. I am a David Austin rose kind of lady!
but for some reason they've stolen my heart. So it is here to stay :D

Rambalpaca, my newest venture into making a farm yarn, has been restocked!

I couldn't believe the amazing response to my farm yarn blend at last month's
It's so thrilling to sell a yarn that has my heart and soul attached to it.

In case you missed it, this was a 2 year process of combining my neighbor's beautiful huacaya alpaca fleeces (all the colors) with American Rambouillet, milled in Maryland and finally dyed in 12 jewel tones.

This bouncy fi*****ng weight, 370 yards per skein has an absolutely unique and delicious hand.

Now in stock in my shop in mini skein as well as full skein.

I made a couple designs with it. It works so well in stripes and also colorwork. One of my goals, when I dyed these colors, was for them to work harmoniously together as a collection that could be used in colorwork and stripes.

(You'll need one mini skein and one full sized skein)

You'll need 2 skeins of main color plus 1 skein each of 5 minis

All colors are in stock- I am only low on sweater quantity in the dark and lt mauve so shoot me a message and I can dye that for you if you need more.

The sea thrift got a jumbo-sized upgrade this time around.

Some modifications to the original pattern:
- garter stitch edging with a slip stitch at the end of every row
- had to finagle my rows so I had enough yarn with just 2 skeins of super bulky. The good news is the charts are all there, you just have to match up what row to start decreasing on once you get 1/2 way through your yarn

🪴🌱🌿Naturally dyed Mermaid Sparkle mini skein sets are in the shop!
I already sold one, I have 4 more left.
Each set is a total of 7 colors, 609 yards, each mini has 87 yards. The sparkle in these is iridescent, a base of sw merino, nylon and mermaid stellina.

I am drawn to dyeing with natural materials when the weather warms up and fresh roots and blooms are available.

For this set, I wanted to focus on a dye stuff (aka material!) in its light and dark saturated form.

light yellow and medium yellow - rhubarb leaf

pink- cochineal, a type of bug thats found on cacti

medium and dark blue-cape jasmine, a newly found blue extracted from this white flowering plant

medium and light orange- madder root, one of the most ancient dyes

Mini skein sets on mermaid stellina sock (iridescent sparkle!) are back in stock.
These sold out in record time and I had a lot of requests for me, so here we are with another batch of freshly dyed minis!

Each set is 5 mini skeins (87 yards each, 435 yards / 100 gram total)
Perfectly paired to make an ombre-style design.
