Now I’ve done it! Showed that I could bend a traditional western hat into an OR…then was asked to do the same on a teardrop crown.
*pencil curled, flat and not-too-stingy brim
*deep chocolate brown
*three ply vintage ribbon
*and yes, that’s a REAL porcupine quill ( not a green match head or a gold nail - IYKYK)

A great “night in the big city” look!

A request for a “daily driver” from a Morrison Colorado cowboy went from meh to MINE.

Braided horsehair hat band. Custom liner. Porcupine quill…and he said he actually enjoyed being able to shop and make all of the choices.

Tabernash Hat Company hosted its first ever bachelor party…and some of the guys got together to take a group pic for me.

Two things I noticed: they clean up well and they look great in their hats plus there’s not a one of them without a pretty girl by his side. (See what a cowboy hat will do for you! 😉)

I’ve been asked a lot recently, “Can you make me a Stetson Open Road?” The answer: yes…and no.

Stetson is a brand, owned by Hatco. Open Road (often called an OR) is the shape. In the photo, a vintage Open Road is on the right-Tabernash Hat Company’s version is on the left; complete with vintage 3 ply ribbon band and a porcupine quill. We will call ours the Open RANGE, just so there’s no confusion🤣
