Team Alynwonderland held another great two day workshop last week with the honor of working with the Haskell Indian Nations University, in Lawrence, KS.

Alynwonderland Hair and Makeup team coached the students on hair, makeup and runway for their inaugural HINU “Indigenous Courture Goes Vouge” Runway Show 2024.

It was inspiring and uplifting for us all.

“Good evening everybody!

We’ve got an announcement regarding the model & designer workshops!

We’ve gotten so much feedback from not only the Indigenous fashion community, but the Oklahoma fashion community overall. We have been asked by people of all ethnic backgrounds for the chance to audition for NYFW.

In order to make this Open Call happen, we will be cancelling all workshops until further notice to accommodate the new dates and venues (see poster below).

All workshops will be rescheduled because we want to bring you the best and right now these model calls take priority because of the timeline. We will have more of those workshops later on in the year!

In an effort to be more inclusive, Alynwonderland is happy to provide this opportunity to all models.

Everybody who has pre-registered for the workshops will be receiving their refunds via Eventbrite & will be sent an invitation to come to the open model auditions for the Alynwonderland NYFW ‘23 show. We invite anyone who is 18+ to come and walk for a chance to be considered!

We understand that this is a change to the format, but we want to see everybody at auditions and take our Oklahoma talent to the Big Apple!

Audition dates and locations are listed below! You only need to attend one audition, in one of the locations. Requirements & dress code are as follows:

-minimal makeup
-hair pulled back
-black leggings or pants
-black tshirt or black fitted top
-heels if applicable to you
-headshots and comp cards

In February, Designer Alyssa Henson-Brackett organized a runway show in Oklahoma. We had the pleasure of hosting Teagan Pooyak from Saskatchewan, Canada.

We have been keeping up with Teagans’ journey since coming to Oklahoma and she is on a fast track of prosperity. Recently she was contracted by a major brand and is being jetted across Canada 🇨🇦 for a series of shoots. 🙌🏽♥️

Alyssa and Teagan finally had a chance to visit on their way to the airport after three days in the heart of Indian Country.

We see you Teagan !!! We are proud of you and will continue to follow your progress. 🌹🌹🌹
