Some ideas are too good to leave on the drawing board.

Inspired by the heritage of the Chesapeake Bay and the iconic seafood labels that once filled packing houses along our waterfront, these two designs celebrate the people, places, and traditions that shaped Southern Maryland.

One honors the timeless craftsmanship of vintage oyster can labels. The other represents the next chapter of Slack Tide Trading Co.—built on the belief that quality, tradition, and coastal living never go out of style.

We got a little sidetracked by life… but the tide always comes back in. 🌊

Slack Tide Trading Co. is back.

We’re designing. We’re creating. And we’re getting ready to finally bring this thing to life.

Built around the forgotten stories, working waterfronts, old landmarks, local legends, and salty history of the Chesapeake Bay—these are just two of the new designs coming together as we prepare for launch.

The vision hasn’t changed. If anything, it’s gotten stronger.

Beneath the waters off Piney Point, Maryland, rests a piece of World War II history.

Known as the “Black Panther,” U-1105 was a German Type VIIC U-boat coated in experimental synthetic rubber designed to help evade Allied sonar. Today, she rests beneath the Potomac River—silent, submerged, and forever part of Southern Maryland’s story.
