Sharing 2 ways to detox from social media without the FOMO👩🏻💻👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼
If social media is a big part of your everyday life, you may be due for a digital detox more than you think. 📱💻🧐
As a social media manager, I’m on it all day and then at night to catch up on my personal feeds. I have found myself at times with tired eyes, headaches and even in a creative funk. Can you relate???🤪
Too much time spent in the digital vortex steals precious time from your real life, family, friends, pets - and that’s not okay. 🤦🏻♀️So, I’m sharing 3 ways that help me step away from social and enjoy real life moments without the FOMO. ⤵️
➡️Using social Media for your business, blog, your brand, or personal? Set boundaries for yourself. For example, I set my hours to work on social from 9am to 6pm. I close my laptop and turn off my phone alerts for the night until the following morning. Nothing posted after work hours is considered an “emergency” - set your priorities and wait respond in the morning. Spending time with your loved ones is more important!
➡️Pick one day of the week to completely turn off social media. This is a challenge for most of us. Temptation is there on your phone, I get it. My day off from social is Sunday. It’s sports or a shopping day, enjoy a brunch with your loved ones! Pics you snap can wait until the next day to post.
