Just after 1:30 a.m., two conservation officers on a routine patrol picked up a 7½-foot figure on a thermal drone moving through the pine forest. At first, they thought it was a bear, but the heat signature and upright stride didn’t match anything they’d ever documented.

The officers launched a second drone for a closer look and captured clear thermal footage of a large, bipedal creature walking steadily across a ridgeline before disappearing into the treeline. When investigators arrived at the scene, they recovered 18-inch tracks pressed deep into the damp forest floor and tufts of dark hair snagged on a broken branch.

This marks the first confirmed sighting backed by video, physical evidence, and multiple trained witnesses.

DNR has temporarily restricted access to the area while biologists conduct DNA testing on the hair samples. Officials have warned the public not to enter the area or attempt to track the creature themselves.

I felt bad for this gal. I don’t know her. I was hiking in an area for the first time about 2:00 AM. I was busting through some think brush and there she was. Trying to not be seen. I took a quick pic and backed out to give her some peace. She has her hair in a bun. They’re a people, just like us but with different abilities. 😉😉

My name is Kyle. I’m 44.
This happened while hiking in Northern California with two friends.

We heard rocks hitting trees around us.
One from the left.
Then one from the right.

We realized we weren’t alone — we were being watched.

That’s when we saw three massive figures moving between the trees.
At least 8 or 9 feet tall.

They didn’t rush us.
They didn’t need to.

We backed away slowly and left the trail.

I’ve never gone hiking without a group since.
