Malachite, a copper carbonate mineral, has been treasured throughout history as a protective and deeply healing stone. Ancient Egyptians used it in jewelry, makeup, paint, and art while Cleopatra was known for creating a malachite-lined eyeliner. Reputed to protect against ‘Evil Eye,’ witchcraft and spells, it has even been found in the castle walls of Russian Czars, in Ancient Aztec artifacts, and throughout various parts of Italy.
