One of the many things that makes The Turntable special is its commitment to using fresh, locally grown produce whenever possible. Supporting local farmers means ingredients are fresher, full of flavor, and go from the field to your plate instead of traveling hundreds or thousands of miles. It’s a great reminder that shopping and dining local doesn’t just support our community—it also means enjoying quality ingredients you can feel good about.
If you haven’t been to The Turntable yet…make a reservation soon! You will not be disappointed!
I’ve had a few people ask if we’re going to be pulling lettuce and produce off our menu because of the current outbreak.
The short answer is no.
One of the biggest reasons I built The Turntable around local farms was knowing exactly where our food comes from. The produce we serve is grown by farmers I know personally, and both of our partner farms are less than 10 miles from the restaurant. It’s not coming from Mexico, California, South America, or through large distribution channels.
Our lettuce is washed at the farm, and then I wash it again when it arrives at The Turntable, even though it doesn’t need it. We take food safety seriously, and that’s not changing.
This is one of the many advantages of supporting local agriculture and your seeing why that is so important. I know who grows our food, I know how it’s handled, and I’m proud to put it on your plate.
Thank you for continuing to support local farmers and trusting us to feed you. It’s a responsibility I never take lightly. Kristy Buskirk Riehm Produce Farm
