Meeting Sunday May 5
Modern Quilt Guild Eastern Shore @ Trappe Fire House

1:00 pm: Fire House is open for sewing and set up.
1:30 pm: Snack and social time
2:00 pm: Show-n-Tell and Meeting

The next meeting of the Modern Guild is Sunday May 5th at the Trappe Fire House. The doors open at 1 pm and we have the room until 9 pm. The actual meeting will take place from 2 to 4 and the rest of the time can be spent sewing. Please bring show-n-tell. Candy and Lou will be Hosting this meeting, and Jean and Andie will be telling us about a block exchange. Please RSVP if you will be attending the meeting on Sunday. Also, please let us know if you will be sewing and how long you think you will be sewing.

Quilt Vine will be open on Sunday from 1 pm to 2 pm for your convenience while you are in Trappe.

The next meeting of the Modern Guild is Sunday, March 3rd at Trappe Fire House. The doors open at 1 pm and we have the room until 9 pm. Sewing demo will begin at 1:30. The actual meeting will take place from 2 to 4 and the rest of the time will be spent sewing. Several of the ladies will be going to Quilt Con next week and they will be sharing about this at the meeting. Please bring show-n-tell. Please RSVP to this e-mail if you plan to sew on Sunday, March 3rd...that way we can set up tables, ironing boards, irons, and chairs ahead of time.

If you would like to sew Candy will be heading up a sew along. It is somewhat of a mystery exactly what we will be doing. Please bring 20 @ 2-1/2" strips of your focus fabrics. This can be prints or solids and in any colors you like. Also bring 20 @ 2-1/2" strips of a background like white, gray, or whatever you like, but all of these strips should be the same. (At the last meeting Candy told you to bring 40 of each, but that would make a really large quilt.) If you plan on sewing please try to arrive early enough to set up before the meeting.

The sewing demo will be at 1:30 and the meeting will begin promptly at 2 pm. If you have volunteered for set up or snack please try to arrive around 1.

We are very excited about this new Guild and are looking forward to hearing all about Quilt Con.
