I rediscovered my love of sewing during the last months of my pregnancy, as a desperate bid to keep myself occupied and stop myself from eating the contents of the house. Following the arrival of my son, all thoughts of sewing were put on hold whilst I tried to work out what on earth to do with this small screaming bundle of joy. However, in one brief, possibly sleep deprived moment, I agreed to p
articipate in an online Block of the Month quilting class with my Mother-in-law. Cue much enjoyable browsing the internet to find gorgeous fabric for this quilt, which soon found its way to my door and into my rapidly expanding stash. When my husband finally noticed and commented on the piles of fabric dotted about the house, I knew it was time to actually make something from them....and somehow instead of sitting down and making the first quilting block, I decided to make a purse, then another, and another....until Squooshy designs was born. I cannot think of anything better to do with my time (although this is somewhat limited with both a toddler and a husband to look after) than to roam through my stash selecting fabrics to create these purses, and of course finding new fabric to replenish supplies!
