Life’s gotten so busy with my kids growing and doing more, working full time and fitting in all the family fun time we can in between. Just wanted to hop on and say I’m still here! I’ve been working on these flower bookmarks because I can finish them quickly and they’re so cute! They available to order, $5 each, $9 for 2, or $12 for 3. Totally customizable! So simple white and yellow daisies, mix them up with the two tones, do a rainbow with a new color in every spot. There are SO many options!
All proceeds made during the month of July will be going back to two families, both fighting different cancer battles.

Life is busy and I’ve been struggling to find moments to myself where I can sit down and work on a project. Two days ago I sat down with this and worked for like 10 minutes while the baby napped but then remembered this big list of things I needed to do while he napped so my life would be easier. I loaded this project up yesterday for a mini road trip to work on her, but get car sick before we were even off our road and couldn’t pick it up. Today I’m finally getting an hour to work on it. An hour that will hardly look like I’ve made any progress on it. Luckily this blanket is just for me to enjoy and I can take all the time I need on her. She’ll be complete one day. It may end up taking me years if life keeps up this way. But she’ll be done, and every couple of weeks I’ll get in my hour of work and feel like I’m working on something for me and not my family.
As always, commisions are are open and I do prioritize orders over laundry when I have them. I generally only have a 2-3 week turnaround for my stuffies and I’d love to make some things to be loved on elsewhere! 🥰

A year ago I was teaching myself how to make crooked dishcloths and potholders for Christmas gifts. This year I’m finishing a Moana order for a Christmas gift. It’s crazy what one year of working on something can do.
It’s never to early to order next years gifts! 😉

This guy is huge. He weighs 3lbs. He took 5 skeins of super bulky yarn and half a bag of polyfil to stuff. He’s been in my work-in-progress pile for a couple months because I ran out of yarn and didn’t have eyes big enough. His eyes are still a little smaller than I’d like but we made do with what was available this morning at the yarn store!

This beauty is making very slow progress, but progress none the less! 😍

I recently started a part-time job and between that, kids events, and life, I’ve been struggling to fit in the good stuff. So happy I finally have a day off to work on this again! So far I have about 15.5hrs into it and I don’t think it’s even half done!

Hey guys, it’s been a minute! I’ve been on vacation, but I’m back and catching up on orders. I thought it’s be nice for you guys to see what goes into the quotes I give you, as well as what other people could charge (because I SEVERELY underpay my time, nobody is going to pay that, not even me!).
Most of the things I’ve made this far have been on the smaller scale but I wanted to show how much a larger project could be.

Pattern: $4.95
Yarn: $12.99 - need 6 skeins - total $77.94
Stuffing: $16.99 - using half a bag - $8.50
Safety eyes: $1.80
My time: 12 hours spread over 3-4 days because I can’t do anything with these kids around 🤣
State minimum wage: $10.10 x 12 = $121.20
Federal minimum wage: $7.25 x 12 = $87
What I would charge for this project: $40 (or $3.33/hr)
You also have to add tax to everything 🙃

Total costs differentials:
State minimum wage: $227.25
Federal minimum wage: $191
What I would quote you: $141.93 - round up to $142

As you can see, I way undercharge what most people wouldn’t. I’m not doing this for the money because nobody would pay what it actually costs, myself included! I’m doing it for the relaxation it brings me. I’m doing it for the little kids who sleep with my creations every night 🥺 I’m doing it to spread love and kindness and happiness.
