I don’t take making memory quilts lightly. Turning a loved one’s clothes into a lasting quilt is a great honor. Using fabrics from another quilter/sewist takes it to another level. The goal is to honor their memory and make something they would have also loved. So when Robert picked this up and said “this feels like mama,” I knew mission was accomplished! His mom loved Raggedy Ann and Andy and had a drawing of this pinwheel Irish chain combo with her fabric stash. All the pinwheels are made of her fabrics.
This is an oversized king size and I had trouble getting a full shot of it. Robert, I hope you feel a hug from your mom every time you use this quilt!
