Went to the Vermont Quilt festival and guess what my Captains Wheel quilt has on it! Yes that is a red ribbon (a 2nd place ribbon). I named the quilt "Patriotic Perservance" due to the number of times I had to redo each piece! Lol. My friend Lynn Whitten also entered her Captains Wheel and it win a red ribbon as well. The first Glacier Star Class I taught contained a lot of my friends. I figured that if I could teach them. I could teach anyone. Everyone kept up pretty well and came to class with the units done each month. One friend Jody Palmer started back to school and put her quilt to the side. On March 18th, The Lord had other plans for Jody and took her from us. She was only 42. I promised her family that I would finish her quilt for them. Last night I did just that (well piecing it anyway - still need to quilt it). Here it is first in pieces and then together.
