The Old Crone Soapothecary

The Old Crone Soapothecary All products are handmade by me. I use quality ingredients in the soaps, and new or like new recycled fabrics in the fabric items.

My cold process soaps are primarily coconut oil based, however, I have found that using animal fats, such as tallow and lard, the blends make a lovely, luxurious soap. I do make vegan soap, which are free of animal by-products, for those that prefer. The soaps are fragranced with fragrance oils, essential oils, or blend of the two, as well as unscented. I like to use natural, botanical colorants,

but also use pigments, micas and oxides, as well. New soaps are added as they made, but there is a 4 - 6 week curing time, and the availability date will be listed with each new offering. .

It's super silky and bubbly. A very lovely bar.

I cut chunky bars instead of the regular size. It gives me only 7 bars instead of 10, but these should be really nice.

Time to start harvesting some soap making supplies. Juniper berries and mullein leaf are up first.
The juniper berries will be dried, and ground, and the mullein leaves will be washed, dried, and made into an olive oil infusion.
