Hear me, Odin, Allfather,

Chooser of the Slain, Wanderer of the Realms.
I do not ask you to carry my burdens,
Nor do I ask you to make my path smooth.

I ask for the iron will to endure the storm.
Grant me the sharp sight to see the truth of my trials, And the steady heart to face them without wavering.

As you hung from the world tree, self to self,
Show me the depths of my OWN hidden power.
Ignite the inner fire that breaks through the frost of my despair.

Fill my arms with the strength to forge my own way through the dark.
Fill my mind with the wisdom to learn from the heavy days and trials that have befallen me.
Let me stand like the deep-rooted ash, like the mountains and the ocean, unyielding and unbroken.

By your names and your memory, and your wisdom,

I will rise to meet what comes before me
