Last weekend I got to tour Twilight Swan House and it made my heart so happy! This house is usually an AirBnB that books up a year in advance and this was the first time they opened it up for tours. It was so cool to actually be in the house where the film was made!
I was a bit bummed that they had blocked off all of the rooms except the kitchen so I was just able to peak my head in places but it was still a really cool experience.
Someday, hopefully I’ll stay the weekend there 🤞🏻

Celebrating one of my favorite spooky season movies with a rewatch and posting my Constable Crane look for Detective Day for as well as Crime Noir for . It’s not exactly a film noir but the darker vibes is close enough 😆
I first became obsessed with the Legend of Sleepy Hollow my freshman year of high school when I was cast as Gretchen van Tassel (the totally made up little sister of Katrina) in my first ever play and I read the book for the first time. Then for Christmas that year, I got the Sleepy Hollow DVD and I loved it even more than the original legend!
This story will forever be near and dear to my heart 🖤

Wicked is one of my FAVORITE musicals and I love that there finally did a movie adaptation but, if I’m being honest, I don’t think the movie needed to be 2 separate movies 😬 it was so slow moving! And I get why they added/extended songs buti didn’t think it was necessary. I do have to say though that I think the casting was mostly perfection!

It’s Wonderland Day for and I had to share my Alice inspired photos from Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm!
I’ve always loved the original Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland book by Lewis Carroll and any stories of Wonderland that have come from it. I just finished Alice the Dagger by Ashley McLeo and I LOVED it! It may be my favorite Wonderland retelling and I can’t wait to read the second book!
While the Mad Hatter is my favorite character, I truly love them all including the Red Queen. She’s such a good villain! Alice in the original story may be my least favorite of the characters but in most retellings/adaptions/sequels, she grows up to be a baddie and fully support that.

We believe in the Great Pumpkin!
Yesterday, we took our beagle to the pumpkin patch! It was such a fun day sharing our favorite fall place Yesteryear Farms with our pup Boomer. Banksy doesn’t get along with other dogs so we usually avoid bringing the boys but we decided that shouldn’t stop us from taking Boomer on adventures (he does great with all animals and people).
We can’t wait to bring him back at Christmas time!

Ready to head back to Towerfall with Death by Kristin Cast!
Last week, Kristin Cast shared outfit inspirations for characters in the book and I had so much fun putting together this Juniper look to celebrate Death’s release date!
My favorite thing about the Towerfall Series is how relatable the FMCs are. They feel like old friends and I can’t wait to get to know Juniper more 💜🖤

My Top Tips for the Oregon Renaissance Faire!
We’ve been attending the Oregon Renaissance Faire since 2022 and it has grown exponentially every year! Here’s how we get the most out of our day in the Vale of Dunrose!
⚔️ Arrive Early or Late
If you want to be there at opening, you definitely need to arrive around 9 and be lined up by 9:30am! By 10am, the entry line tends to be LONG and it can be an hour (or two) just to get in.
If mornings aren’t your thing, arriving in the afternoon after the initial rush is a possibility. If you arrive at 2pm or later, you most likely can walk right in. Faire is open until 7pm so there is still plenty of fun to be had!
⚔️ Pictures First
I always get a nice photo of me and Ty in our full outfits at the beginning of the day. Our outfits are fresh, the background tends to be emptier, and the lighting is best before noon!
⚔️Double the Drinks
There’s two taverns with multiple lines and bar tenders but they will get LONG! In the heat of the afternoon, plan on waiting 30-45 minutes for your Mead but you can order 2 drinks at a time so it makes the wait worth it.
⚔️$2 Refills
I’m not a big alcohol fan so you’ll find me at McGilly Sassparilly! This rootbeer stand sells Sarsaparilla, Birch B**r, and Cream Soda and offers $2 refills after initial bottle purchase. You can get a new one each year or bring bottles from previous years!
⚔️ Eat Early
The food lines used to be the longest lines we wait in all day so we try to eat lunch between 11am and Noon before it gets too crowded. A lot of the most popular food items sell out by the end of the day so if you want something specific, get to it early!
⚔️If You Love It, Get It
A lot of the vendors handcraft their items so there’s a limit of stock. An item might not be there for very long so if you love it and would regret not getting it, buy it asap!
⚔️ Leave During Final Joust
If you’re not planning on watching the final joust, it’s a great time to get out of the parking lot hassle free! After the show, there’s a mass exodus and it gets crazy! If you are staying for the Joust, I recommend waiting the extra hour until Faire is over

Taking it to Endor for a Galaxy Far Far Away Day for , hosted by and ! This look is inspired by Leia’s camo poncho outfit in Return of the Jedi.
Honestly, out of all the Star Wars planets, Endor is where I would want to live. It’s so green and beautiful and, come on, who wouldn’t want to be neighbors with Ewoks?!

It’s been a weird past week… turns out, I’m old and my body hurts when I sleep wrong and then I can’t move for a week 🤷‍♀️ this is my life now 😆
So not a lot of new content happened but I’m hoping to get back to it tomorrow with a new heartless curl tool to try!

🎵 Listening To- Rites of the Starling on audiobook and my shanties is playlist on Spotify
🧭 Adventure- I don’t currently have an adventure planned for this week so we’ll see what happens 😆
🪡 Project- I’m starting my Ren Faire crafts!! We’re 3 weeks away from and I probably should have started my outfit a while ago but here we are 😂
🏡 House- we have 2 pantries in our kitchen and laundry room and I’m hoping to clean out and organize both 🤞🏻
🏆Goals- updating my website! More services coming soon!
❤️ Looking Forward To- our annual Memorial Weekend cookout and games with our friends on Sunday!
