It’s been a while since I participated in a fair. Last time was more than 4 years ago when I was living in the Philippines before the pandemic hit. I thought I was going to keep doing bags after we moved to Colombia. During that time I learned macrame and got certified as a House Coach. I am going to take this opportunity to close and start a new cycle. I will have bags from the Philippines and Colombia , some of my macrame projects and promote my new service as Aluna Home Interiors which you can check on my link to profile. Some of the proceeds will benefit the Margaret MacNamara fund with the intention of empowering women. If you are in DC please join me at the World Bank Atrium from Nov 19-21. , , ,

Happy Valentine! It’s been a while since I I posted here and since I did a macrame project. I feel that doing something with my hands grounds me. Similar to the heart coasters I did last year, I felt this key chain would be a cute little present for a galentine’s party. , ,

I spent the summer getting the house ready and we are still unpacking boxes since we moved in 10 days ago. Here is a sneak peek of where my office/studio will be.

My first creation using clay for house decoration. For the large bottle I used a darker clay and for the tray and the little cups I used white clay (although is more delicate and it cracks easily). When I was little I used to model clay doing sculptures and it was so much fun! For these objects I experimented different techniques, not yet on the wheel. Maybe that will be the next step. Thanks to the amazing teachers at . , , ,
